But, with so many options, which game should we play?

The ten best PC games available right now are listed here. Not all of them are fresh new, which is by design as we do with our game suggestions, but we do continuously update the feature with the latest and greatest as necessary.

These are the top PC games you should be playing, ranging from Viking adventures and car racing to multiplayer games and cosmic misfits.

It Takes Two

The narrative of a divorced couple who are inadvertently converted into miniature dolls by their unhappy daughter may not sound like the most appealing concept for a video game, but don’t let that deter you: this is one of the best co-op games ever developed.

The sheer variety of gameplay in each section is what makes ‘It Takes Two’ so fantastic. Yes, it’s mostly a 3D platformer, but you’ll also be able to play a Diablo-style dungeon crawler, operate a little plane, ride a spider, and battle a Squirrel in a Mortal Kombat-style fight, to name a few. That’s not even taking into account the optional games like speed Chess and whac-a-mole.

It Takes Two, unlike some other co-ops, involves complete teamwork, which can lead to real-life fights, especially when played locally rather than online — which is ironic given the game’s theme of divorce. You may also find yourself debating which character to control at various moments during the game, as Mom and Dad gain distinct skills as they progress through their quest.

The fantastic, inventive surroundings that you’ll adore exploring and interacting with as small possessed objects don’t suffer because of the game’s huge scope; both are excellent, as are the actual platforming and puzzles.

The main story of the parents’ desire to reach the house and how working together helps them recall why they married in the first place is also enjoyable without being excessively mushy.

Dr. Hakim’s sentient love book is certainly the worst portion of It Takes Two. He’s intended to be a guide, but you’ll be too preoccupied with thinking about murdering one of the most obnoxious gaming characters ever to notice what he’s saying. This is also a two-player game, so make sure you have someone to play with.

Deathloop

Deathloop has been compared to Dishonored, Outer Wilds, Prey, and Hitman, with a dash of Dark Souls thrown in for good measure.

Although such a mash-up of genres may not sound enticing at first, there’s a reason why so many sites have given it a perfect 10/10 rating and it has been nominated for eight Game Awards.

Deathloop is about an amnesic man stuck in a time loop, as even people who haven’t played it previously are likely to know.

Set on a subarctic island in an alternate 1960s, the goal is to kill all eight Visionaries in four different locations in a single day before the loop resets, which seems impossible at first given that a single loop is made up of four different times of day and only one district can be visited each period.

A lot of Deathloop is about finding leads that will help you reach your goal, in addition to killing people.

And you have to do all of this while dealing with Julianna, who is attempting to murder you. Other players can control her in your game, similar to Dark Souls.

The multiple Dishonored-style abilities are a lot of fun to use, and figuring out how the entire puzzle and systems work together is a lot of fun.

However, despite its appreciation, some players find the game’s intrinsic repetitiveness to be too much for them.

Forza Horizon 5

We’ve seen plenty of games fail to live up to their expectations in the past, but the thing about Forza Horizon 5 is that it’s worth every glowing review, compliment, and cash spent.

The highest compliment you can award Playground Studios is that it created a driving game that even non-drivers enjoy.

Aside from the enormous number of automobiles, rich graphics, and entertaining driving, the most tempting aspect of Forza is how much there is to do.

Improving on Forza Horizon 4 was never going to be easy, but this sequel succeeds, in part by relocating

Forza 5’s only real flaw is that it’s still the same game as its predecessors, although with a lot more material, but why mess with a winning formula? This is the best Forza Horizon game yet, as well as one of the best driving games ever created.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The Assassin’s Creed titles, like Origins and Odyssey, are now far closer to action RPGs than their stealth-based predecessors. Valhalla embraces its role-playing features more than any other game in the franchise, which isn’t always a negative thing.

Psychonauts 2

Psychonauts 2 is a rare video game that is both hilarious and enjoyable to play. While the level design, characters, and writing are all fantastic, it’s the tale that will stick with you long after you’ve finished; there’s enough pathos to go along with the comedy.

Don’t worry if you haven’t played the first Psychonauts, which was released 16 years ago; the sequel’s intro will fill you in — which is necessary considering that it is linked directly to that game.

It doesn’t take long to realize that you’re getting yourself into more of the famed late-90s/early-2000s 3D platformer action, refined to near-perfection.

The variety of design and gameplay features found within the self-contained worlds, or minds, that Raz visits will keep players engaged throughout, leaving you eager to see what the development team comes up with next.

Combat is satisfying, with each enemy type requiring a distinct skill set, and Psychonauts 2 is like a digital crack for people who enjoy games with a lot of treasures.

It’s not perfect — more skills would have been nice — and it may be a little clumsy at times, but there are roughly 15+ hours of pure fun in a game that we don’t see very frequently these days.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Let’s be honest, after the disappointment that is Marvel’s Avengers, few people expected Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy to be anything more than just “meh.”

The reality? MGotG is proof that among the many multiplayer-focused, games-as-a-service, and online-only titles available today, developers can still make great narrative-driven solo experiences.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy sees players take on the role of Peter Quill, though this Star-Lord bears a closer resemblance to his comic book counterpart than he does to Chris Pratt.

The game itself is about as linear as you’ll find anywhere, but that doesn’t matter when the quality of the 16 chapters is this high.

While you don’t have direct control over the rest of the Guardians, you can give them commands in a battle that are added to their usual AI attacks, which can be challenging in huge engagements.

The entire team can be given new skills, and Quill can purchase further improvements such as more health, which adds a small RPG component to the game.

Battlefield 2042 Game (Review-In-Progress)

Combat is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game, especially after you begin to gain additional powers. It contains the huddle, in which you must choose the perfect dialog options for a burst of increased damage; nothing beats getting it right and hearing the opening bars of ‘The Final Countdown’ (or another 80s classic) as the team pounds the adversary.

The team’s banter is one of the highlights. You’ll deliberately seek out talks because it’s often so funny, especially interactions with Drax.

The music is fantastic, and fans of both the comics and the movies will undoubtedly appreciate all of the references. It’s also rather lovely.

Valorant is the CS:GO for those who could have never been in CS:GO because of its mix of tactical play, tactical depth, and collaboration. It won’t let go of you once it sinks its addicting teeth into you.

Resident Evil Village

While many people still play Resident Evil Village because of the internet’s brief obsession with 9-foot 6-inch fantasy woman Lady Dimitrescu, there’s a lot more on offer here than an ample chest on a massive vampire.

The first-person perspective of Village will draw comparisons to Resident Evil 7, while the overall game, locale, and tone will most likely recall Resident Evil 4.

Despite the fact that Village is a combat-heavy game, each of the main adversaries’ lairs pushes players to change their strategy; one portion even takes away all of your weapons.

Despite the emphasis on combat, there are plenty of moments that will give you the creeps, including one segment that is arguably scarier than any prior Resi game — may be any game ever made, depending on your specific fears.

There are a plethora of fantastic beasts, monsters, and mutants to contend with. Fortunately, in keeping with Resident Evil history, you’ll have access to a variety of weaponry, each of which will take up valuable space in your backpack.

Apex Legends

Most were astonished to see Titanfall programmer Respawn enter the battle royale arena with Apex Legends in an increasingly crowded genre dominated by Fortnite. However, it has surpassed Epic Games’ monster to become the most-watched BR game in terms of viewing hours and hours broadcast, as well as most people’s favorite game in the genre, in just two years.

Apex Legends, like many other battle royale games, is free and features a diminishing play area, descending from the sky onto an island, and prizes. Over 25 million players signed up for the game in the first week, thanks to a system in which up to 20 teams of three-man squads battle to be the last group standing. It now has a monthly player count of roughly 122.6 million people.

While the game’s comical art design is comparable to that of Fortnite, the game’s backstories, personalities, and distinctive powers of its hero characters are more like Overwatch.
