2022 GMC Hummer EV
2022 GMC Hummer EV Review, Pricing, and Specs – Car

2022 GMC Hummer EV, In a bizarre turn of events, GM’s gas-guzzling Hummer brand, which was abandoned in 2010, is set to
return in 2022 as an all-electric sub-brand of GMC. The rebuilt Hummer will debut as a pickup truck initially, followed by an SUV.
The new pickup is a beast, with up to 1000 horsepower from its top powertrain option, which employs three electric motors, a
range of 329 miles on a single charge, and a stated time of 3.0 seconds to 60 mph.
The Hummer EV also has removable roof panels, adjustable air suspension, and a clever four-wheel steering function that allows it
to “crab” sideways (drive diagonally), all of which should be entertaining.

to go off the beaten path Electric pickup trucks are the next frontier for electric vehicles, with upstarts like Rivian and Tesla, as
well as major manufacturers like Ford, preparing their own offerings in this developing market.
What’s New for the Year 2022?
While Hummer is a well-known brand, the Hummer EV will be a brand-new vehicle for GMC. Only the most expensive Edition 1 model will be available at first; less expensive trims will be available beginning in 2022.
Pricing and Choosing Which One to Purchase
Only the top-tier Edition 1 trim, with its six-figure price tag, will be available at launch. It comes standard with an adjustable air suspension, Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving mode, a power-operated tonneau cover, and a large 13.4-inch multimedia display, all of which are available on the Hummer EV.
The Hummer EV3X will be the next to go on sale, in the fall of 2022; the Hummer EV2X and Hummer EV2, which have a less powerful two-motor drivetrain, will be available in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

EV Motor, Performance, and Power
For the time being, the Hummer EV’s only powertrain option is a setup with three electric motors producing 1000 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard, and GMC claims a time of 3.0 seconds from zero to 60 mph, which it claims is possible because of the
truck’s Watts to Freedom launch control operating mode.
GMC also claims that this powertrain produces 11,500 lb-ft torque, however that figure is likely certainly calculated using the torque-multiplying effect of the truck’s gear ratios.

While we disagree with the method used to obtain the false torque estimate, it should have huge pulling power anyway. According to GMC insiders, the genuine torque number will range between 1000 and 1100 lb-ft.
We had the opportunity to test drive a prototype model and were blown away by its capabilities. We’re looking forward to getting an opportunity to put the Hummer EV through its paces at our test track, and we’ll report back with our findings as soon as we can.
