How to Apply for Google Startups Accelerator Program

Apply for Google Startups; Popular Tech Company, Google opens an application for a three-month virtual accelerator program.

2021/2022 Google Startups Accelerator Program Application, Procedures and guidelines, and benefits.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, the application calls for Innovators from 17 African countries.

Making this known, the tech company stated countries from 17 African countries which will be listed later in this post can now commence applications to be part of the African edition of Google’s virtual acceleration program coming up in 2022.

List of African Countries to Participate in the Google Startups Accelerator Program 2020/2021

Before you commence the application process, it is advisable that you check below if your country is enlisted among the 17 countries to apply for the program.

Only Citizens from the following African countries can apply for the Google Startups Accelerator Program 2022:

Algeria,
Botswana,
Cameroon,
Côte d’Ivoire,
Egypt,
Ethiopia,
Ghana,
Kenya,
Morocco,
Nigeria,
Rwanda,
Senegal,
South Africa,
Tanzania,
Tunisia,
Uganda, and
Zimbabwe.

According to Goggle, the Startups Accelerator Program lasts for 3 months beginning in March 2022 running through to May 2022.

During this time, a virtual Bootcamp will be held every week each month. The Google Startups Accelerator Program has made it known that Google is a supporter of Startups in Africa.

Importantly, This three months program for sure will make provision for intensified virtual training, Mentorship, Bootcamp, and many more Google product that supports the enlisted startups.

In a statement by Andy Volk, a Google developer expresses pleasure in welcoming startups. The message reads:

“We are honored to have yet another opportunity to connect with African innovators and empower them through the seventh Class of GFSAA.
therefore, We know that, as with previous Classes, we are on the cusp of uncovering some outstanding technology-led solutions to some of the continent’s most pressing challenges, developed by Africans themselves,”

Included in this package is the ability of startups to have access to innovative technology, experts, and mentors.

However, the new call for Google Startups follows a whopping pledge of $6 million to support the Black Founders Fund (BFF) African program and the famous Tony Elumelu Foundation with the motive of improving the African ecosystem.

According to Google,

Google for Startups Accelerator: Africa is a three-month accelerator program for Seed to Series A technology startups across the African continent. The accelerator is designed to bring the best of Google’s programs, products, people and technology to startups that leverage machine learning and AI in their company today or plan to in the future.
In addition to mentorship and technical project support, the accelerator also includes deep dives and workshops focused on product design, customer acquisition and leadership development for founders, specialized training, media opportunities and access to Google’s network of engineers and experts.
